A personality of refreshing candour, with a charm and entertaining charisma all her own, Lesley Clough offers a unique perspective on presenting at any cultural event.
Lesley Clough is a multi-lingual presenter, mature model, public speaker, aesthete, lover of all things beautiful, renaissance woman, passionate advocate of beauty at any age and accidental reality television star. A personality of refreshing candour, pith and insight, with a charm and entertaining charisma all her own, Lesley offers a timeless style and a unique perspective on presenting at any cultural event.
Born and educated in Brisbane, Queensland, Lesley showed an early interest in the arts, languages (she speaks fluent German and conversational French and Italian) and a talent for performing, becoming the Australian champion of Highland dancing . After falling in love with ballet, (spending many a weekend twirling around the lounge room, much to the consternation of her parents!), and in spite of being a late starter, she was discovered and earned a coveted spot at the world renowned Ecole de la Danse Classique de Princess Grace in Monte Carlo, Monaco, where she completed her training and became an apprentice dancer and a lover of the European lifestyle.
Living on the continent for eight years honed Lesley’s instinctive eye for style and the art of the beautiful life as well as a passion for fine food and skill in the culinary arts. Developing a love of interiors and travel whilst working in the airlines, after returning to Australia she ran a successful home and leisure wear business “Lelly Dee Lifestyle”, based out of her home town of Noosa, a profile of which was featured in Australian Home Beautiful in January 2013. Her home was also featured in the magazine, as well as in local publications.
In 2018 she was selected from thousands of applicants to feature in the reality television behemoth “My Kitchen Rules”, giving her valuable (if brutal!) experience in spending gargantuan hours live in front of the camera. She had a unique opportunity to wear, style and accessorise her own wardrobe during the series, further cementing her reputation as a style doyenne. She was then approached by major sponsor Coles and appeared in a national advertisement wearing a sixties jumpsuit and the famous Hermes “Collier du Chien” belt, all whilst shopping for fresh produce!
Invited to guest star, at her beach house, in Better Homes and Gardens with Johanna Griggs, Lesley was able to showcase not only her beautiful interior style but also her captivating and effervescent screen presence, this performance leading to a cover of the New Idea Magazine wearing a retro one piece swimming costume. As part of a body confidence article, Lesleys original work, “letter to my fifteen year old self” was published in the magazine, further showcasing her many talents as a modern day renaissance woman.
Lesley has been featured in many publications such as Who magazine, TV Week, New Idea (cover), The West Australian, The Courier Mail, The Sunshine Coast Daily, and The Noosa News (cover). She has also done live interviews on Sunshine Coast radio morning programmes, showcasing her quick wit and ability to perform live without a script.
Lesley has experience in public speaking, her specific interest in empowering teenage girls to be their most authentic selves, confidence building, bullying and what to do about it, healthy use of social media, and the real behind “reality” television. Lesley sees herself as a kind of modern day Agony Aunt to young ladies, a “cool” big sister type, and enjoys using her influence to encourage young girls to be their best. To this end she was invited to be a co judge for Miss Teen Australia in the Sunshine Coast finals.
Lesley offers a unique skill set and a universal appeal due her glamourous yet approachable demeanour, her down to earth manner and her inherent ability to connect with other humans instinctively and quickly.
